2009 MTV Video Music Awards nominees announced
Surprisingly enough, last year’s breakthrough act, Lady GaGa, dominates this year’s nominations list with eight nods in her pocket for ‘Poker Face’ and ‘Paparazzi.’
Her main competition is Beyoncé Knowles with the same number of nods for ‘Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)’.
Last year’s VMA was all about Britney and she seems to be determined to get as many awards as possible this year again, following GaGa and Beyoncé with seven nods.
2009 VMAs will be held in NY on September 13, 2009. The glam event will be hosted by rascal Russell Brand for the second consecutive year.
